Irish BEV Sales – May 2020

Since dealers reopened their doors mid-May, car sales are now picking up again, compared to April, but are still very weak at -72% compared to May 2019. BEVs are in a better place, with sales decreasing by only 13% to 148 units. This resulted in a very good market share, 8.45% of the total car market.

Tesla Model 3, leader again in May

Tesla has delivered 50 Model 3, not only the best selling BEV this month again but also 4th best selling car overall. Since the beginning of this year the Leaf is still ahead, but the Model3 is just 20 units behind and might get the crown very soon… The Renault Zoé ZE 50 have now started being delivered and sales should increase next month.
