ePower eVeryday

ePower eVeryday

Keeping the updates on new sites coming, as well as more general updates, we're back with our latest update on the charging network, this time with ePower.ie.

Another new site!!

ePower have added 4 new high power charging spaces (offering up to 180kW) at Finline Furniture on the Long Mile Road, located just off the N7 and only a few minutes from the M50, it’s an easy stop whether you’re commuting or passing through.

This is a busy retail area, so you can grab a coffee or tick off a few errands while your car charges. If you can’t charge at home or you’re on the move a lot, this is a convenient fast-charging spot along the Long Mile Road. As we try to highlight, new chargers are not always where you expect, and this one is worth pulling into, plugging in, and getting back on the road without hassle.

ePower eVeryday

ePower eVeryday subscription plan offers discounted day and night-time rates for subscribers at all of ePower's own chargers. So, how does it work?

During daytime hours, DC charging will cost:

  • €0.66 per kWh (eVeryday subscribers)
  • €0.73 per kWh (PAYG)

However, significant discounts apply at nighttime (23:00 - 06:00):

  • €0.39 per kWh (eVeryday subscribers)
  • €0.49 per kWh (PAYG)

The eVeryday subscription is available for €4.79 per month. So if you’re charging once* from full to empty and using this regularly (again, those without a home charge point, this is where you can start to save via public-only charging), you’ve recouped the cost of subscription and then making straight savings. There is also a monthly draw where subscribers can win €100 of public charging credit and membership offers like currently, a chance to win a night away at any of the 6 Sohotel locations around the country.

* Example of kWh required to do this?

The subscriber saves €0.07 on each kWh then they need to consume about 68 kWh to recoup the cost of the subscription. If we're comparing the night rates then they save even more, €0.10 on each kWh. That means they only need to consume about 48 kWh to recoup the cost of the subscription
