An update on this has been long overdue, but we finally have made progress on it!
Last year we asked for an expression of interest in CHAdeMO to CCS adapters. After which we contacted a number of suppliers. It has taken quite some time to get information back, and for pricing to be agreed upon.
To start with, the basis of our search for an adapter has been individuals who have such adapters already (such as our colleagues at EVANI), various forums, and from Github repository of compatible adapters.
The 'cheapest' option was to go to Alibaba and to order from the manufacturer, Dongguna Longood. However, the association would need submit a bulk order and payment itself, pay whatever taxes and duties that would arise on their arrival into Ireland from China, and they'd also all be shipped to one address in Ireland. As you can imagine, presented a number of difficulties, and so we kept searching.
That search eventually led us to EV-BOY. We feel that they offered the best solution, with a discounted price, direct access to the supplier plus 2 year warranty, and the adapter you're after. The discounted price agreed is €659 per unit for up to 49 members (prices reduce if more sign up to purchase), and is subject to a sufficient number of orders being placed, however no payment will be sought at this point.

After 23:59 hours on the 5th April, EV-BOY will provide a link / code to use to make payment. Yes, this is going all come about pretty quick for the first go of this!
Your adapter will be shipped to you, with target delivery by late April to early May.!

Only those who have submitted an expression of interest may be eligible to order via our Group Order. We aim to screen these to ensure they are legitimate requests before proceeding. To date around 100 have already submitted their expression of interest, so we do hope that with actual pricing and a supplier now in place, we can generate sufficient interest in adapter purchase.
