Brite EV Charging launches simpler, fairer pricing across Galway

Brite EV Charging has launched a new streamlined pricing structure across its Galway network, removing connection fees on Ultra Rapid chargers and eliminating overstay fees on AC units. Drivers now enjoy 75 minutes of charging with no penalties on DC units and unlimited time on AC charging, giving greater flexibility for day-to-day use.

Under the new structure, charging costs are set clearly by time of day and power level:

  • Ultra 300 kW chargers: €0.63 per kWh on weekdays, €0.68 at weekends, and €0.56 overnight.

  • Rapid 240 kW chargers: €0.61 per kWh on weekdays, €0.65 at weekends, and €0.55 overnight.

  • AC 22 kW chargers: €0.50 per kWh on weekdays, €0.52 at weekends, and €0.48 overnight.

These changes remove hidden extras and reflect real-world energy costs, ensuring Brite remains among the most competitively priced public-charging networks in Galway.

“Drivers are under enough pressure in daily life — we want charging to be one thing they don’t have to worry about,” said Colin Barry, Managing Director of Brite EV Charging. “Our new model rewards sensible off-peak charging while keeping top-tier ultra-rapid power accessible and affordable.”

Brite’s Galway hubs continue to outperform competitors in utilisation and customer satisfaction, confirming that transparent, driver-friendly pricing is key to building Ireland’s best-value fast-charging network.
